What Films Will Be Screening?
This year, all the films will have One-Word Titles.
McClelland believes movies with One-Word Titles are, generally, better at capturing the viewer's imagination than a movie with, say, a Five-Word Title. Compare Deep Blue Sea to Jaws. Which one's the more memorable? Contrast The Fox and the Hound with another critter movie, Bambi. Few people can describe the plot of the former, but everyone knows at least one key scene in the latter. And which Oscar-winning boxing movie is more memorable, Rocky or Million-Dollar Baby? Hell, which B-grade disaster film stayed with you the longest - Deep Impact or Armageddon? Woody Allen films - Manhattan, or Vicki Christina Barcelona?
One word: Excited.
