Movie-Fest 9: One-Word Title's first competition

Movie-Fest Quiz

The above collage represents a single image from each of the films that will screen during Movie-Fest 9: One-Word Titles. The first person to answer all of the questions below correctly will win a $30 JB Hi-Fi voucher. This will be presentable upon attendance at Movie-Fest 9: One-Word Titles, so please only enter if you plan on coming! Submit your entries via email to 'daniel underscore mcclelland at hotmail dot com'.
  1. If all of the films above ran 2 hours long (don't worry they don't), how long would Movie-Fest be?
  2. How many of them are animated?
  3. The actor who plays the next Batman villain is in one of the photos... which photo?
  4. How many black and white films will be screening at Movie-Fest?
  5. Which famous pop-star is included in the collage? What're they up to this year?
  6. Which image above comes from a (modern) film that has yet to enter wide-release in DVD or theatres in NZ?
  7. Which image comes from the oldest film?
  8. Who produced the film the top-right image comes from? Hint: they also wrote Stuart Little. And starred in Lady in the Water.
Note: Yes, Google Image Search allows you to drag and drop images these days. It's awesome. I've purposefully collaged this to make it somewhat harder to do this. You could use Google, and I'll never know. But Baby Jesus will.

What, When, Who, Why

ONE-WORD TITLE MOVIE-FEST STARTS IN:

WHAT IS IT?
Daniel McClelland's annual movie-watching marathon, to celebrate his birthday.

There'll be at least 8 films screened over a 14 hour period of time.

The list of films will be announced soon, so be sure to check back here for further details.

When the schedule's been announced, you can plan to come to one film, or many!
What Films Will Be Screening?
This year, all the films will have One-Word Titles.

McClelland believes movies with One-Word Titles are, generally, better at capturing the viewer's imagination than a movie with, say, a Five-Word Title. Compare Deep Blue Sea to Jaws. Which one's the more memorable? Contrast The Fox and the Hound with another critter movie, Bambi. Few people can describe the plot of the former, but everyone knows at least one key scene in the latter. And which Oscar-winning boxing movie is more memorable, Rocky or Million-Dollar Baby? Hell, which B-grade disaster film stayed with you the longest - Deep Impact or Armageddon? Woody Allen films - Manhattan, or Vicki Christina Barcelona

So, this year, McClelland is celebrating movies that have One-Word Titles. They're awesome.
